Kayaking in Hellesylt Fjord – Untouched Nature, Steep Mountains & White-Tailed Eagles
This kayak tour is a must do when you are in Hellesylt. We start directly in the fjord, and after a short time we are surrounded by steep mountains and raw nature. What makes this very special is that the nature along the fjord sides in completley untouched and natural. You can expect to see wildlife, white taled eagles and also streams of water and waterfalls.

We start with a safety brief in FjordKayaking boat house in Hellesylt. Here you will get your life jacket and paddle. If you have any items you can leave them here.
After safety brief you will be showed to the kayaks, and the guides will teach you how to adjust the seating position – it should be very comfortable!
When you get sea-launched you will get a few minutes only to feel comofrtable and feel the stability of the kayaks. The guides will show you some basic kayak technique and also the vital signs we are using while kayaking.
We will then start the journey following the left side of Sunnylvfjorden. This is the side where there is no boats or fast going vessels. Now it is time to relax, find the rythm and enjoy the spectacular nature.
After an hour we will reach the turning point. This is a sheltered bay where we have a great view into the Geirangerfjord, with a small waterfall behind us. Perfect photostop. -

Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by a parent og guardian.
You can bring children under 6 years old, but then we need to know on beforehand. -

You would have to manage to sit down and rais up by yourself. If you have limited mobility in legs or back pain the activity is not suitable. -

Do you use tandem or singel kayaks?
We use both type of kayaks, but tandem is recommended. If you travel alone, you can have a single or we will find a good kayak partner for you in a tandem kayak.
Are the guided kayak tour family friendly?
Our guided tours are family friendly. Children goes in tandem kayaks with an adult/parents. Our tours is suited for beginners and families.
What can we experience on the guided kayak tour?
