It all starts with a brief in our boathouse in Olden, 100 meter north of the cruise port. On the brief the guide will go troguh the tour, set expectations and do a safety briefing. Then you will get your life jacket and paddle. You can leave personal items in our boat house.
You will get your kayak, we recommend going in a tandem, but it is also possible to do single kayaks. After we sea-launch you will have a couple of minutes to feel the stability and get comfortable in the kayak. You will be amazed about how great the seating is in the kayak.
The guide will show the most basic kayak techniques and necessary signs we use while kayaking. Then we will head north along the shoreline of the fjord. Whats uniqe about Olden is the purple blue glaicer water, stunning mountain views and also the tiny local village houses along the fjord.
After approximatley an our we will reach a bay where there is a white sanded beach and scenic viewpoint of Nordfjorden and also over to Loen Skylift – this is special!
After a phototop we will start our journey back to FjordKayaking boat house.

Recommended meeting 15-minutes before. We will start the brief on time.
Look for our brown boathouse 100 meters north of the Cruiseport in Olden.

You can bring children under 6 years old, but then we need to know on beforehand.

You would have to manage to sit down and rais up by yourself. If you have limited mobility in legs or back pain the activity is not suitable.

Do you use tandem or singel kayaks?

We use both type of kayaks, but tandem is recommended. If you travel alone, you can have a single or we will find a good kayak partner for you in a tandem kayak.

Are the guided kayak tour family friendly?

Our guided tours are family friendly. Children goes in tandem kayaks with an adult/parents. Our tours is suited for beginners and families.

What can we experience on the guided kayak tour?

With your guide, you will experinece the fjords of Norway with local history, views of stunning mountains and waterfalls from the fjords. It is possible to observe wildlife such as White Tailed Eagles and Harbour Porpoise from our tour in Hellesylt
